The Leo Club is a youth civic organization associated with the International Lions Club whose objective is to serve and support the community. The Leo Club's local affiliate is the Winchester Host Lions Club, which Leo Club supports annually through activities and programs such as carrying banners for the Apple Blossom parade and escorting during charity balls that benefit local childhood cancer camps.
In the 2018 - 2019 school year, our club focus was recycling to include a Recycle for Sight drive with over 140 eyeglasses collected for recycle and reuse by the underprivileged locally and globally; a ColorCycle drive was conducted in which 456 markers were collected for recycle; and we also conducted weekly school-wide recycle collection. Our semiannual and annual activities include the St. Baldrick's Foundation Shave-a-thon to fight childhood cancer, Adopt-a-Highway program litter cleanup, and Salvation Army bell ringing. We do not limit ourselves to these activities and welcome new ideas to support the community.
We always welcome new members no matter the time of year--it is never too late to help the community. The Leo Club Program objective is: "To provide the youth of the world with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national, and international community." The Millbrook Leo Club Motto is: “Helping the world, one paw at a time.”
